The training is a 3 day (24 hour) intensive program designed for FEMALE Patrol Officers, Narcotics Investigators, Gang Investigators, Street Crime Investigators and Vice Investigators who come in contact with subjects associated with Narcotics,, Vice operations and Street gang criminal investigations. This important training as a growing number of law enforcement agencies across the nation have been involved in improper vice related investigations causing the termination of officers, lost legal cases, and embarrassment to agencies.
The training will show female officers how to conduct undercover narcotics and vice operations while acting in an undercover role. Many agencies utilize untrained female officers in various undercover investigations involving Vice and Narcotics investigations. This is a huge officer safety issue as well as a huge liability to law enforcement agencies throughout the United States. Instructors who have decades of undercover work will provide a step by step training plan for conducting undercover narcotics and vice investigations. Numerous case studies will be presented as templates for conducting successful investigations from initiating investigations that lead to successful prosecution in both state and federal courts.
Undercover Operations for street level narcotics investigations will be presented in order to show agencies how to successfully arrest and prosecute subjects involved with Drug Trafficking Organizations. Reverse Sting investigations target narcotics buyers, distributors and businesses associated with illicit narcotics sales. The training will also cover the Tactical Narcotics Techniques concept used to target gang members, narcotics dealers as well as individuals involved in the world of prostitution.
Undercover Vice investigations play a significant role in preventing crimes such as Human Trafficking, and money laundering investigations through businesses like illicit massage parlors. Inexperienced female officers are often thrust into undercover roles without knowing property techniques used to make lawful prostitution cases. The training will cover setting up and conducting undercover vice investigations utilizing undercover personnel . The training will be held at the ROCIC training center located at 545 Marriott Drive in Nashville. The training will begin at 8:00 am each day and will end on Friday at 12:00 pm. Conference Instructors
Mike DeMarcus: Detective Sergeant (Ret), North Miami Beach Police Department with over 21 years of law enforcement experience. Mike worked in the Vice, Intelligence and Narcotics unit for over 14 years and additionally worked on a DEA task force as well as a state task force specializing in money laundering and narcotics investigations. Mike has extensive experience in narcotics reverses, indoor marijuana grow houses and long term crack cocaine investigations targeting gang members. Jon Doherty: Sergeant with the Gwinnett County Police Department Vice Unit. Jon has over 28 years of law enforcement experience and conducted investigations in the Vice unit for over 18 years. He has also served in the capacity as a Task Force Officer with the FBI. He currently supervises the Vice and Alcohol units. Jon has worked in numerous undercover investigations targeting street level vice investigations as well as narcotics investigations. Jon will present how to conduct investigations ranging from street level prostitution, hotel details, massage parlors and Human Trafficking Investigations. He has presented training courses all across the United States.
Darryl Nelson: Major with the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office Vice Unit. Darryl has over 24 years of law enforcement experience and has been assigned to the Vice unit for over 15 years. Darryl is a Georgia Post certified instructor and has presented training throughout the United States as well as in Canada. He has participated on the Metro Atlanta Child Exploitation Task Force for over eight years. He has worked in numerous undercover investigations targeting street level vice and Human Trafficking investigations. Darryl will present training on how to conduct various vice related investigations ranging from street level prostitution, hotel details, massage parlor investigations, and Human Trafficking investigations
