The training is a 5 day (36 hour) program designed for Patrol Officers, Narcotics Investigators, Gang Investigators, Street Crime Units, Interdiction Units and Vice Investigators who come in contact with subjects associated with Narcotics Investigations, Vice Investigations and Tactical Operations.
This training course is designed for investigators who conduct covert law enforcement operations ranging from narcotics, vice to gang investigations. In order to successfully conduct these investigations, they require training and a full understanding of how subjects involved in these investigations operate. Case studies will be presented to detail the legal aspects and ethical aspects of conducting covert investigations.
The conference will include the Tactical Narcotics Techniques style of operation that can be employed to target gang members, narcotics subjects and subjects involved in street level prostitution. This is a surveillance based operation that can result in upwards to 150 arrests in a single day operation. The course will detail how to set up and run these specialized operations and how to combine multi units within a single agency. The instructors will addtionally discuss how to establish multi agency task forces.
Sneak and Peek Search Warrants are a great tool to conduct covert surviellance on businesses involved with prostitution and narcotics. This is one of the most under utilized forms of investigations in law enforcement. These are specialty warrants have only been used by a small portion of agencies during investigations. This covert technique gathers a tremendous amount of evidence and has been utilized to convict both subjects and businesses for RICO violations. This training is presented exclusively by LETA instructors.
Reverse Sting Operations for major narcotics investigations will be presented in order to show agencies how to successfully arrest and prosecute subjects involved with major Drug Trafficking Organizations. Reverse Sting investigations target narcotics buyers, distributors and businesses associated with illicit narcotics sales. A thorough and successful reverse sting operation is the greatest tool for dismantling DTO’s.
Instructors will additionally present undercover techniques which can be utilized to investigate Massage Parlors and Escort Agencies. Arresting subjects involved in prostitution is only one aspect of vice investigations. The second and most often over looked aspect is chasing down the money trail and conducting thorough financial investigations on the businesses.
Investigating Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs will also be covered in this training. Case studies will be presented along with officer safety issues. Undercover storefront operations will be detailed showing investigators how to establish and run undercover locations that can be used for arresting narcotics subjects. Investigators will be shown how to set up these covert locations utilizing specialty surveillance equipment and how to tactically outfit these locations.

Mike worked in the Vice, Intelligence and Narcotics unit for over 14 years and worked on a DEA task force as well as a state task force specializing in money laundering and narcotics investigations. Mike has extensive experience in narcotics reverses, indoor marijuana grow houses and long term crack cocaine investigations. Mike has participated in numerous long term investigations targeting and prosecuting both money laundering and narcotics trafficking subjects. He also participated on seizures of $1.2 million dollars and $1.9 million dollars which resulted from reverse sting operations. Mike has taught thousands of law enforcement officers from all over the world. He has spoken for organizations such as the Florida Narcotics Officers Association, New Jersey Narcotics Officers Association, Norwegian Narcotics Officers Association, International Undercover Officers Association, and the Regional Organized Crime Information Center Annual Conference.
Detective, Boca Raton Police Department. Bob has over 18 years of law enforcement experience. He has spent almost his entire career in the Vice and Narcotics Unit. Bob has performed numerous in depth undercover investigations in narcotics and vice operations. He will present various investigative methods including how to conduct “Sneak and Peek” search warrant operations. These are highly covert operations allow investigators to covertly enter illicit businesses to install technical equipment which allows investigators to monitor illegal activities in the business. His class also details how to seize and forfeit assets that are derived from these locations used to promote prostitution.
