Street Crimes and Criminal Investigative Techniques July 25th-29th, 2022, Nashville, Tennessee

The training is a 5 day (36 hour) program designed for Patrol Officers, Narcotics Investigators, Gang Investigators, Street Crime Units, Interdiction Units and Vice Investigators who come in contact with subjects associated with Narcotics Investigations, Vice operations and Street Gangs.  

This training course is designed for investigators who conduct covert law enforcement operations ranging from narcotics, vice to gang investigations. In order to successfully conduct these investigations, they require training and a full understanding of how subjects involved in these investigations operate. Case studies will be presented to detail the legal aspects and ethical aspects of conducting covert investigations.    

The training will show investigators how to write phone orders which can be used to track and investigate subjects. The curriculum will also include operational planning when targeting and apprehending violent criminals. Gun tracing investigations will be covered during the training showing officers how to trace weapons back to straw buyers and subjects. The various types of Covert surveillance techniques will be discussed with case studies detailing how to implement theses techniques with attempting to apprehend subjects.

Reverse Sting Operations for major narcotics investigations will be presented in order to show agencies how to successfully arrest and prosecute subjects involved with major Drug Trafficking Organizations. Reverse Sting investigations target narcotics buyers, distributors and businesses associated with illicit narcotics sales.   The training will also cover the Tactical Narcotics Techniques concept used to target gang members, narcotics dealers as well as individuals involved in the world of prostitution.

Consent Search Investigations, Initiating Criminal investigations and how to follow thru on case preparation will be outlined during the training. This training will cover a multitude of investigative techniques used to investigate and successfully prosecute subjects involved in criminal activity.

Investigating Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs will also be covered in this training. Case studies will be presented along with officer safety issues.  Undercover storefront operations will be detailed showing investigators how to establish and run undercover locations that can be used for arresting narcotics subjects.  Investigators will be shown how to set up these covert locations utilizing specialty surveillance equipment and how to tactically outfit these locations.

The cost of the training is $475.00 per student. Please submit payment by check or money order with this registration form or register on line at www.uctraining.net. The training will be held at the ROCIC Center located at 545 Marriott Drive in Nashville. The recommended Hotel is the Best Western Plus located at 911 Airport Center Drive. Registration fee for the program includes the cost of instruction, handout materials, certificate of completion. Classroom dress is casual.                      Conference Instructors

Mike DeMarcus:
Detective (Ret), North Miami Beach Police Department with over 21 years of law enforcement experience. Mike worked in the Vice, Intelligence and Narcotics unit for over 14 years and worked on a DEA task force as well as a state task force specializing in money laundering and narcotics investigations. Mike has extensive experience in narcotics reverses, indoor marijuana grow houses and long term crack cocaine investigations. Mike has participated in numerous long term investigations targeting and prosecuting both money laundering and narcotics trafficking subjects. He also participated on seizures of $1.2 million dollars and $1.9 million dollars which resulted from reverse sting operations. Mike has taught thousands of law enforcement officers from all over the world. He has spoken for organizations such as the Florida Narcotics Officers Association, New Jersey Narcotics Officers Association, Norwegian Narcotics Officers Association, International Undercover Officers Association, and the Regional Organized Crime Information Center Annual Conference.

Logan Watersworth:

Detective, with an agency in the midwest. Logan has over 14 years of law enforcement experience. He is currently assigned as a Detective in the Street Crimes Unit. He will present various investigative methods including how to conduct operational planning, how to successfully write and obtain phone orders and how to track and apprehend fugitives.

Steve Cook:

Detective, in Missouri. Steve has over 28 years of law enforcement experience. Steve is considered to be one of the countries foremost experts on Outlaw Motorcycle Gang investigations. He has been featured on numerous documentaries and media outlets in regards to OMG investigations. Steve is also the President of the Midwest Gang Investigators Association and he has taught thousands of law enforcement officers from around the world. He has extensive undercover investigative experience and has a wealth of knowledge to share with fellow officers.
